ESALQ Special Program aims to introduce an academic experience in Tropical Bio-based Production Systems to undergraduate and graduate students from partner universities interested in identifying research opportunities in collaboration with ESALQ.

This edition was developed considering the most relevant research topics from twelve Departments and CENA/USP (Center of Nuclear Energy in Agriculture) related to bio-based production systems with the purpose of offer a comprehensive vision about Brazilian agriculture production, including economics, technical and social aspects:

  • Overview on tropical agriculture
  • Biomass and bioenergy production systems
  • Tropical bio-based economy
  • Food technology on tropical plants
  • Management of agricultural landscape
  • Biodiversity on agricultural regions
  • Water management on production
  • Animal production on tropics
  • Social issues on rural environment
