In October 2017, it was signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the establishment of the Agrifood 5 (A5) Alliance between China Agriculture University (CAU); Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (Cornell); University of California, Davis, College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (Davis); University of São Paulo, Esalq; and Wageningen University and Research Center (WUR).
