Minimum requirements

 

Master’s degree

  • 28 coursework credits (each credit is equivalent to 15 hours) and 68 dissertation credits
  • English language proficiency
  • Qualifying Exam
  • Completion of all requirements and deposit of dissertation within 28 months of initial registration in the graduate program
  • A dissertation supervised by the academic Advisor to be defended in a final oral examination by an Examination Committee

Doctor’s degree

  • 22 coursework credits (each credit is equivalent to 15 hours) and 170 thesis credits
  • English language proficiency
  • Qualifying Exam
  • Completion of all requirements and deposit of dissertation within 48 months of initial registration in the graduate program
  • A thesis supervised by the academic Advisor to be defended in a final oral examination by an Examination Committee

Doctor’s degree (Straight-through)

  • 50 coursework credits (each credit is equivalent to 15 hours) and 170 thesis credits
  • English language proficiency
  • Qualifying Exam
  • Completion of all requirements and deposit of dissertation within 60 months of initial registration in the graduate program
  • A thesis supervised by the academic Advisor to be defended in a final oral examination by an Examination Committee
